Strategic Proficiency
Use Strategic Proficiency to gain pivotal insight quickly throughout at least a hundred business activities. You get closer to better decisions quickly and easily. For each question or activity, you can use a recipe to determine the key “who,” “what,” “when,” “why,” “how much,” and “how to” vital to your success. And, your colleagues and you can invent your own recipes. Strategic Proficiency applications span the following realms.
- Customers, marketplaces, and suppliers.
- Enterprise leadership and communications.
- Programs, projects, and teams.
- Individuals and careers.
The following illustrate applications of Strategic Proficiency.
- A U.S. “Fortune 50” telecommunications company director estimated $2 million in annual potential revenue gains by using Strategic Proficiency techniques within her group of fewer than 12 people.
- “I recommend [Strategic Proficiency] for any business executive who understands the value of effective communication and decision making. We are a startup with precious little time to succeed. Having a simple structure to work with has proven invaluable. I recommend taking the time to discover this valuable tool for yourself.” - Mike Grove, CEO, Open Country
- “I recommend the ‘Service Value’ and ‘Style Maturity’ techniques ... for anyone engaged in the transformation of government or industry. I have used the Value Spectrum in shifting from a paper-based publication to Web publication and knowledge management strategy.” - Wayne Hanson, Senior Executive Editor, Center for Digital Government, e.Republic, Inc.
- “As an Executive Coach, I found Tom’s ‘Service Value’ model to be extremely effective. This deceptively simple model allows complex ideas to hit home. ... In one case, an executive who struggled with delegating realized where he was wasting time and, more importantly, learned where to focus his time. A second client noted that it was more effective than management books he has read. I love this model for moving clients along their path quickly. It’s a tool I’ll use over and over in my work.” - Sylvia FerroNyalka, PCC, President, Success Resources Inc.
- “The Service Value technique provides a valuable tool for determining the essential details needed to achieve a business objective.” - Roberta Moore, CEO, Revenue Optimization Council; Founder, Qualitative Marketing
- “At last, a pragmatic approach to organizational and individual improvement as deep in practical advice as it is comprehensive in scope. An approach that any executive or professional can relate to and implement quickly.” - Joe Feliu, Vice President, NeoDimensions, Inc.; former VP Operations/CIO, Visto Corp. and AllAdvantage.com
- “The Service Value and Style Maturity techniques provide as important a conceptual breakthrough for enhancing business success as have Relativity and Quantum Mechanics for keeping physics viable. .. Almost any person, group, or enterprise can benefit quickly and significantly from Value and Maturity.” - Ron Fredericks, President, MultimediaComputing.com
